Have you seen a cat slouching on the ground in the shade of a tree in a scorching summer sun? I just did! It even turned and twisted it's head to look up where I stood; and lay back to a comfortable position once again. We could talk if we spoke a common language, I thought. The way it looked at me ,it seemed to convey in a tacit way how good it felt lying down like the way it did.
Soon I started thinking and brooding over the idea of us humans, sharing a common language with the other creatures on the planet. We could have a deal with the wild creatures on how they conduct themselves when they hunt and kill for a living ; considering off course ; the maintenance of a similar protocol of living boundaries! Wild animals in the jungle and our own chosen pet creatures with us! They could inform us how we cause them harm and what should be the solution to all the grievances on both the sides?
Language is of vital importance in the perspective of a sustainable future. There should be a common language that is shared by all and sundry on the planet! The common language must not contain space for any word that possess the capability to inflict pain or disgrace on others. It should not contain any word that may hurt feelings! Only good understanding, solidarity and love should form the structure of the language. But we also cannot ignore the importance of the words that we may choose not to use. The fact remains that the existence of opposites makes it possible to have a better meaning of each contrary aspect. So there should be presence of only the important bad words so that an equilibrium is maintained.
Off course it will take time for all living creatures to be well versed in the common language and for that purpose we shall need schools for learning the language. Everything or every good thing require time and patience. We must disentangle the chains of the idea which force us to believe that only human beings are good. We are superior or only we are enough to sustain a good life without the need of any other creature.
Not only the other creatures who cannot understand our language but even within ourselves, we always fight and dispute over endless issues that could be well resolved with a common language which keep regard and respect for all other languages. We must think more .
So , what was the question? Yes, I was wondering of a common school of a common language . Also I must reiterate, the value of all lives and a common language to sustain healthy interaction among all. A language that will have no words for hatred, violence, discord and unrest. A language of common existence, common nature, equity and solidarity. A language that will spur both material and spiritual growth .A language of humanity and love!
