 These are a few paintings I painted long back in my school days when I used to attend art school on sundays! They are far from perfection ......simple watercolours! 

But the portrait of Mamoni Raisom ma'm was sketched in college time !

                   

       

This is a portrait of the most honored late prof .Dr Indira Goswami or Mamoni Raisom Goswami . The original painting which I made for her and I presented to  her as a gift once, was watercolor painting! But I only have this black and white photocopy with me now!  Ma'm used to treat me very lovingly and she's the sweetest person I have ever known in my life !

A moment

I pick a colour with a wet brush,

And sweep the canvas with a twist,

To paint a moment that was, is and will be ,

My love forever !

The moment has a smile as beautiful as the morning ray!

The moment has eyes of loyal faith and a mysterious hue !

I simply felt so loved !

It was a pleasant surprise with no queries.

It was a simple gesture but I still fail to find 

A way out of the maze it engulfed me in !

I had no hope in the dusty shades 

Of the unending sagas!

But it stood with open arms 

To fill me with hope!

Don't be surprised if I say it is instead of it was !

All the others passed in time;

All but a moment !

It has stood by me all throughout!

I only know because I caught a glimpse or two of it;

More often than not in my own vistas of the real images of time!

In the realms of eternity 

Where no blood and flesh meet;

Where a moment reigns forever and 

Still never and nowhere!

I am here , there  and everywhere,

If you are love!

And nowhere,

If you are not!

In the labyrinth of your thoughts 

With no prejudice and hatred;

Where the best  space I have

With no other query or choice!

You will be so in my heart; 

There are roses if you love,

And nothing if you do not! 

In a page in space;

Where love is true and innocent;

Where treachery is unimaginable;

Where you are the cure 

Of yet another cure!

There is  always a hope,of heaven;

There is always a hope, of love;

And you will find me forever,

In your heart.

It's night again; again it's morning!

It's night again; again it's morning!


It's night again: again it's morning !
Again night;so next will be morning!
Oh it's night another time ;
oh it's morning again!
One more night;  and one morning!
Oh it's night again; again it's morning!
 It's night now after so many nights!
And after so many mornings ,
it's morning again!
I lived,slept,and woke and slept again;
night after night, so many nights ,
and it's night again!
 I opened my eyes to close again ;
and opened to love the fresh soft sunlight in the morning;
 and this morning now I feel the same!
I only live this bit in the morning ,
and I wait for the night to rest in  peace!
But peace eludes me in the solitude ,
of this night!
 And I long for the morning to forget the night!
This is morning that bless me with hope!
 My hope drives a hard trail to Stop again,
 at night for rest !. 

So how can I miss this night?
I love this night no less than I love
 this morning!
So good night! Good morning!

Challenges of teaching in the internet age

           New models of teaching and learning are providing unprecedented competition to the traditional models of schooling. The key challenge is the lack of adequate ongoing professional development for teachers who are required to integrate new technologies into the classrooms yet who are unprepared or unable to understand new technologies.
                            Most importantly , to ensure safety for the young students the teacher must deliver key information around internet safety and responsible use . It requires the teacher to posses good pedagogical and didactic knowledge and the ability to apply this in such a way that promotes good teaching and learning.
                          The internet gives access to an incredible range of resources and technologies which needs to be leveraged properly for safety and utility.Coupled with the question of cyber security we have the persistent financial instability which pose great challenges and the same must be addressed to promote the potential of computer knowledge in the field of education.
                           Last but not the least the teacher plays the prime role of imparting knowledge in any age notwithstanding any challenge whatsoever!
